6 Manipuris met in Bangalore in 2007. They had a common interest - Rock
Music. What began as casual jam sessions amidst music aficionados,
culminated into the inception of HeavyWater
stemming out of the sheer passion and the unconscious kinship shared.
HeavyWater is a Hard Rock/Metal band formed and based in Bangalore. All
members work full time in various capacities with different employers.
But they had been able to keep this "love of music" alive during their
hectic work life. They love playing to rock enthusiasts who would gather
at 'Legends of Rock', 'Unwind Center' and Sunday Jams. They have also
played for large audiences such as the 'Freedom Jam' and various
'CultFest' in South India.
