The first ever 'Entry-Free Jam on Voting Rights awareness' to ignite Youth's minds and hearts in regards to the upcoming Lok Sabha Elections. This amazing Youth concert along with an energetic dance show will surely wake the senses of the Youngsters to choose their best leader as their representative and eventually change the face of this political olympics. "Ballot Jam" is being organised by the "Youth Street News" in association with "The Wishess", and supported by the leading bands of Manipur like "The Idylllics", "Argos", "Pendulum Swing", "The 3 Strings" among others.
The core of "Ballot Jam" is based on:
-India's secret weapon: The Young population
-The Power of 49 (women voters percentage)
- To exercise Right to Vote
-Avoid proxy voting
The “Ballot Jam” will definitely help in publicising the Voting Rights among the youth in general and Manipuri youth in particular, eventually mobilising this vast section of the society to cast their valuable vote with all the needed knowledge of their adult franchise rights and to make them turn out in a huge number during the elections.
Folks, the “Ballot Jam” is no preaching, nevertheless, let’s learn from each other our rights –our voting rights in and out, so that we don’t sit back in our comfy couches to crib later on. Let’s do it when there is an enough time to make the right choice. This will only happen when we, the youth, come out and participate in a huge number during the election with our full voting rights.
Come on folks, let’s clean our nation when we have the chance to do so, so that we don’t regret later on! See you young bloods at the concert! We know, we don’t need lectures but action that will ignite our senses to make our nation a better place to live in! And “Ballot Jam” is that much-needed action and the stepping stone for a new dawn on our way!!
